HOME SAFARIS BEACH HOLIDAYS

Zanzibar

is a amazing island, with classic finest white sands tropical beaches, lush exotic plantations, an incredible history and a fascinating culture. The ‘spice islands’, Unguja and Pemba, have almost legendary mystical allure and offer a complete change of lifestyle from the Tanzanian mainland - a visit there is true travel back in time. Unguja, the larger of the two main islands, is more commonly known simply as Zanzibar. Apart from historic Stone Town, with its fascinating labyrinth of narrow streets, it's known for its beautiful palm-fringed beaches and pristine coral reefs. Pemba, in contrast, is seldom visited and very laid-back, offering a largely undiscovered culture and seriously exotic diving opportunities.

LionSafari offers hand-picked hotels at discounted rates. The minimum stay is 4 nights. Children of age 11 and below pay 50% of the adult rate (when accompanying 2 adults). Infants of max 2 years old - free. On this page we have listed the rates of the standard rooms of each hotel. Room upgrades are available for most hotels and will be offered to you after booking your stay for a small deposit. A low season (April - June) discounts of up to 45% are available for most hotels and those will be applied to the cost after receiving your deposit - on this page we have listed the maximum cost, which is already lower than the average cost of the major tour operators. Parties of 5 travellers or more receive a discount of 2% to 7% on the total hotel cost. In case you wish to visit Zanzibar during the high season (July - August) we strongly advice you to book your stay at least 3 months in advance.
