2 DAYS VISIT TO THE EXOTIC ISLAND OF LAMU, departure from Mombasa
Day 1
You will be picked from your Mombasa hotel and be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lamu. Your flight takes approximately one hour. On arriving at the Manda Air Strip, you will be met and transferred to the Lamu Palace Hotel for lunch.
An afternoon excursion takes you to the narrow streets of the ancient Arabic Town, which has not only rich Swahili Culture, but also adorned with well hand finished richly carved furniture and doors, old 18th Century stone houses, women dressed in traditional buibui clad, donkey caravans, fishermen in their dhow. All these creating a sensational atmosphere that takes you back in time. No cars on this Island hence the only mode of transport is by donkey. Dinner and overnight at the Lamu Palace Hotel.
Day 2
Morning hours after breakfast are spent leisurely. Early lunch at the hotel before flying to Mombasa, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
